Central Valley Roadrunners has grown to over 100 athletes this season, and we’re excited to see so many young athletes participating in track & field. With that growth, we are currently looking for a few additional volunteer coaches to help support the team during practices and meets.
Right now, we have four coaches working with more than 100 athletes, and having a few more adults helping during practice would make a big difference for our athletes.
The good news is that you do not need prior track & field experience to volunteer. What matters most is a willingness to help support and encourage the athletes while they learn and develop in the sport.
Volunteer coaches may help with:
- Assisting with warm-ups and drills
- Helping supervise practice groups
- Supporting running or field event groups
- Encouraging and guiding athletes during practice
Volunteer Requirements
To volunteer as a coach with the team, the following are required:
- Background Check
- USATF Adult Membership
- Completion of SafeSport Training
The club will reimburse the cost of the background check and USATF Adult Membership.
Youth sports programs like Central Valley Roadrunners rely on volunteers, and additional support helps ensure our athletes receive the attention and guidance they deserve.
If you are interested in helping or would like to learn more, please speak with one of the coaches at practice or contact the team for more information.
